Halv/sies
Privacy policy · Effective August 13, 2026
The short version: Halvsies has no accounts and does not send your game progress to us or the advertising providers. The app uses AppsFlyer to measure our advertising and Google AdMob to serve one optional rewarded-video placement. Where allowed, and only after the required choices, those partners may use your device's advertising identifier for measurement or more relevant ads. Refusing does not block the game or reduce the blade awarded by any ad that is available.
What stays on your device
Your game progress — level bests, streaks, blade timers, the book — is stored in the app's local storage and is not sent to Halvsies, AppsFlyer, or AdMob. Apple or Google may include that local app data in a device or cloud backup under your operating-system and account settings. Deleting the app removes its live local copy; a later device restore may restore a backup.
Ads inside the app
There is exactly one ad format: an optional rewarded video. It is offered when you have run out of blades on the refill sheet and after a failed Path result, in exchange for one blade, up to ten times a day across both offers. You never have to watch it. It never interrupts a cut, a level, or a run you have already paid a blade for, and there are no banners, pop-ups, or ads anywhere else in the game. If you own the Master Blade, you are never shown one at all. Watching or not watching changes nothing about the game itself — the shapes are the same for everyone, always.
Those videos are served by Google AdMob. When you open one, Google may receive your IP address (which can imply an approximate location), device and app information, advertising or app-scoped device identifiers, diagnostic information, and interactions such as whether the video was shown, watched, or tapped. If your applicable privacy choices and device settings allow it, Google may use the iOS advertising identifier (IDFA) or Android advertising ID (GAID) to select and measure personalized ads. Otherwise Google may serve non-personalized, limited, or technical ads according to the signals available. Halvsies disables AdMob's separate publisher first-party identifier. Nothing about your game — your level numbers, scores, streaks, or purchases — is added to an ad request by Halvsies.
Install attribution
Halvsies also runs ads outside the app, to find new players. To learn whether those ads work, the app includes the AppsFlyer attribution SDK. AppsFlyer may process your IP address (which can imply an approximate location), device and app information, an AppsFlyer install identifier, your advertising identifier when the required permissions and choices allow it, and a fixed set of product events such as an install, completed level, completed share, advertising-funnel step, or completed purchase. Event parameters use fixed categories and counts rather than names, messages, raw scores, or other free text. We use this data to measure and improve our own advertising and share it with an advertising platform only under the applicable consent signals.
If you are in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland
Before measurement or advertising that requires consent, Halvsies uses Google's certified consent-management platform. It explains the purposes and vendors and records a standard IAB Transparency and Consent Framework (TCF) choice. The consent platform determines when the European message is required; Halvsies does not infer this from your language or device-region setting. AppsFlyer does not start for a covered user unless consent permits advertising measurement. Google may still determine that a limited or technical rewarded ad can be requested without personalized advertising.
Refusing is free and changes nothing about the game: the same levels, Daily, countdown refill, and purchases remain available. An optional video may be unavailable if Google cannot serve an ad under your choices; when a video is available, it awards the same one blade. You can reopen the consent form from About → Privacy choices at any time.
Advertising identifiers and device controls
On iPhone and iPad, Halvsies asks for Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission before it or its partners may access IDFA for tracking. If you decline or the setting is restricted, IDFA is unavailable. You can change the system permission later under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
Android does not show an equivalent per-app system prompt. GAID is a resettable and deletable identifier controlled under Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. Halvsies also applies the consent choices described above; deleting GAID causes the platform to return an unavailable identifier.
United States privacy choices
Where applicable state law gives you a right to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing, the in-app Privacy choices form records that choice using the Global Privacy Platform (GPP). We honor that signal in future ad requests. You may also contact us using the address below. Halvsies does not sell personal information for money.
Controller and legal basis
The data controller is MPS Holdings LLC, reachable at hello@mostperfectsip.com.
Where the GDPR (or the UK GDPR, or the Swiss FADP) applies, we rely on:
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) for advertising measurement, personalized advertising, and storage or access on your device where consent is required. AppsFlyer does not start for a covered user before this permission is available.
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for security, fraud prevention, enforcing the rewarded-ad limit, and operating this website. You may object using the contact address above.
- Contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) for delivering in-app purchases you have made.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about your install, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that already happened while consent was in place.
Use About → Privacy choices in the app to change consent or opt-out choices. On iOS, App Tracking Transparency remains a separate system setting as described above. You may also write to hello@mostperfectsip.com. Include the privacy support ID shown in the app when available; do not send device advertising identifiers by email. We will action applicable requests through our providers' access or deletion processes. Deleting the app stops future collection from that installation but does not itself delete data already held by a provider.
You also have the right to complain to your local data protection supervisory authority.
Who receives it, and where
We use the following service providers for these purposes:
- AppsFlyer — attribution measurement.
- Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform — serve the optional reward video, deliver the privacy-choice forms, and receive the data described under “Ads inside the app”.
- Google — receives the measurement events above, together with your consent signals, so we can tell which of our ads worked, subject to the consent and device-permission signals described above.
- Apple and Google Play — process purchases; we never see your payment details.
- Cloudflare — hosts this website and its cookieless analytics.
These providers process data in the United States and elsewhere outside the EEA. Those transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the providers' own transfer frameworks where applicable.
How long it is kept
AppsFlyer retains user-level data for periods that depend on the advertising integration and applicable requirements; data received from Google Ads is generally deleted after six months, and aggregated reporting is generally available for up to 25 months. AdMob report retention varies by report type. Consent records remain on your device until they expire, are reset through the privacy form, or the app is deleted. We do not export these datasets into a separate customer database.
This website
This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics — cookieless and privacy-first. It counts page views and referrers in aggregate, so we can see whether sharing brings new players. It sets no cookies, builds no profile, and identifies no one.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We never see your payment details. Eligible non-consumable purchases can be restored through the store account; consumed blade refills cannot.
Deletion
Game progress is not sent to us or the advertising providers. Delete the app to remove its live local copy; separately delete any device or cloud backup if you do not want the operating system to restore it later. To have attribution data connected to your install deleted, write to hello@mostperfectsip.com and include the in-app privacy support ID when available. We will process the request through the applicable provider process.
Children
Halvsies is a general-audience game and is not directed to children. It has no accounts or social features, does not ask for a birth date, and does not otherwise collect an age assertion. Our App Store and Google Play target-audience settings do not target children. If you believe a child has provided data through the app, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where applicable.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
